Reinstate Grant By Visiting Office
Human interaction is better than an online application if you prefer it. You can reinstate your canceled SASSA Grant via the SASSA office by following the steps below:
- Find SASSA Office: The first thing you need to do is locate the SASSA Grant office that is closest to you. The SASSA office near you can be found by searching for “SASSA Grant office near me” on Google. Confirm the opening hours of the office once you have located it. If you are visiting SASSA, you will need to confirm the office’s hours. Most SASSA offices operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Gather Documents: You should gather your important documents before visiting the office, including:
- Card of identification
- A proof of residence (utility bills or another document proving your current address)
- Statement from your bank (if available)
- Any other document proving your financial situation (only if you have one)
- Visit SASSA Office: Visit the office during their working hours. There may be long queues in the office and you may have to wait in the queue before your turn comes.
- Submit Request: Ask the SASSA official when your turn comes that you are reinstating your SRD application. Your ID card and other documents will be requested to verify your identity by the representative. Send them the documents. As soon as your reinstatement application has been verified, it will be submitted.
- I think that’s it. You have successfully submitted your reinstatement request for the SRD grant. You may have to queue for hours outside the SASSA office because there are always long lines. If possible, I would suggest doing it online.
How Long To Approve Request
In most cases, SASSA takes between 7 and 14 days to review your reinstatement application. It may also take up to 90 days, depending on their workload and the number of applications they receive.
SASSA will notify you via SMS once they have reviewed your request and made their decision. When your grant restoration request is approved, you will begin receiving payments. Your grant reinstatement request will be rejected along with a reason.
